A little overview of this website, and what Cooter Brown Emporium is all about.
 
1.  Real Estate.   The mountains, creeks and hollows of North Georgia are just as beautiful as ever, just a little cheaper now, since prices have retreated from where they were  a couple of years ago.  If you are interested in moving here, or interested in investing in property up here, I would be tickled to help you any way I can.  Go to my real estate page to see if we connect.

2.  Monthly Concerts.  If you are a music lover, and live or visit in the Blairsville area, then you need to know about the concerts which occur at least monthly at Cooter Brown Emporium.  These are small (limited to 40 people) concerts, where we bring some of the best musical talent out of Atlanta, Nashville, and elsewhere, to put on private concerts.   Go to our Concert page, and get the low down.  Give us your email address and we will add you to  our email group.

3.  Location.  Cooters is located out in the country (about 8 miles from downtown Blairsville).  We are at 2081 Owltown rd, directly across the road from Highland Falls rental cabins.  Our location looks out over the Coosa Valley, and beyond to beautiful mountain ridges.  The Tour de Georgia pedaled right past in 2006, so you know we are in a scenic area.

4.  We are different.  Cooters is sorta hidden due to the fact that everything is housed inside a rather ordinary looking metal warehouse type building.  But inside you will find a couple of free-standing, recreated buildings, one a 1940's era country store, and the other, a 1950's era juke joint, we call it The Laze Daze.  Union County is dry, so no alcohol sold here.

5.  Fun  Fun  Fun.  Every week, a nice group of friends gather in the Laze Daze to play cards and to socialize.  We are always looking to fill an empty seat, espescially Texas hold'em players.  No commercial gambling allowed, but we do have  Hold'em and Black Jack tournaments with some proceeds going to charity or otherwise worthy causes.

Cooters has also hosted private parties, and can be the perfect setting for small, private social events. Nothing big, nothing too loud, but a different kind of place to socialize, share a bottle of wine, listen to some catered music, maybe even take the wife for a spin on the dancefloor.  We  also have a nice little BBQ outfit to cook half a hog or so, or 10-12 chickens. Contact Keith.

6.  Physical therapy.  Then we do some honest work.  On top of everything else, we operate a firewood business from Cooters.   We do some mowing (large areas), and some office/home cleaning.  The idea is to work a little, not too much, do a  little good,  pay some bills, and make some friends.   So if you are in need of any of these services...... check out the "honest work" page.
